OnePlus is set to renew its Ace series, which serves as an affordable alternative to the flagship models, soon. Recent leaks suggest that the company is working on the OnePlus Ace 3, and the latest information indicates that the smartphone may be unveiled very soon.
OnePlus Ace 3 launch date leaked
According to a report from the source named WHYLAB, the OnePlus Ace 3 is expected to be revealed towards the end of this month. The source even specifically mentions the date of December 17.
The OnePlus Ace 3 appeared in the Geekbench database a few weeks ago with the model number PJD110. In the single-core tests, the smartphone scored 1,723, and in the multi-core tests, it scored 5,164. This confirms some of the device’s specifications.
The smartphone will feature last year’s flagship processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Qualcomm continues its collaboration with TSMC for this processor. The chip, built on a 4nm architecture, includes 1x 3.36 GHz ARM Cortex-X3, 2x 2.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A710, 2x 2.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A715, and 3x 2.0 GHz ARM Cortex-A510 cores, along with an Adreno GPU.
According to the Geekbench database, the model will come with 16 GB of RAM, but there might be different memory options as well. Additionally, it will run on OxygenOS 13 based on Android 13 out of the box.
According to another report shared by Digital Chat Station, the smartphone will feature a 1.5K curved OLED display with 2,600 nits brightness, measuring 6.74 inches. The display will also offer LTPO 120Hz refresh rate. The device will come with a metal-framed design reminiscent of the matte aluminum alloy frames seen in the Apple Watch lineup. Finally, the phone will sport a triple camera setup, including a 50 MP main sensor with a 1/1.56-inch IMX890 sensor, a 32 MP IMX709 telephoto lens, and an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens.
